Jeff Cain

Chief Specialty Officer, North America

Jeff Cain is an experienced executive with a diverse travel industry background as a sales and operations executive. His unique vision for process and revenue improvement allows him to provide a strong return on investment for customers and ETM.

Jeff joined the organization in 2016 as a senior vice president to lead specialty divisions. Throughout his 30-year career, Jeff has held successful leadership roles in various travel industry verticals, including airline, GDS, TMC, online booking applications, duty of care, and travel insurance. In conjunction with his extensive tenure, his leadership style of collaboration and accountability for individual and team growth correlates with customer success and profitable company growth.

As part of CTM’s executive committee, Jeff is responsible for ensuring that the company’s meetings & events, loyalty, and leisure divisions continue to move in the direction of profitability with high levels of personal service and creatively driving the market.

Tami Reier, CMP, CMM

Senior Vice President & General Manager

Tami Reier was appointed to Senior Vice President & General Manager, ETM North America, in July 2021. She brings 30+ years of industry experience to ETM clients and employees and is dedicated to exceptional service, leadership, strategic vision, and growth-oriented results.

Tami joined the organization in 1999 as an accomplished meetings and events professional. Tami holds a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation from Meeting Professionals International, a Certificate in Meetings Management (CMM) from Events Industry Council, and a Virtual Event and Meeting Management (VEMM) certificate from Events Leadership Institute.

Tami is a member of Cvent’s Partner Advisory Board and Meeting Professionals International’s Global Committee on Anti-Human Trafficking.

As part of CTM’s general manager team, Tami is responsible for bringing together all aspects of the meetings, events, and group air teams to deliver outstanding, customer-centric programs with an exceptional return on investment.

Teri Awwad

Executive Director, Planning and Meeting Technology

Teri Awwad is Executive Director, Planning and Meeting Technology. In this role, she leads the event planning, sourcing, and meeting technology team and is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of client satisfaction and client retention within the ETM division of Corporate Travel Management in the US.

Teri joined ETM in February of 2018 and brought an extensive background in various aspects of meeting and event planning. She spent five years of her career as a private owner of a meeting and event services business working with clients from the technology, industrial, financial, and insurance industries. Prior to owning her own business, she was regional manager for Kuoni DM (now known as MC&A DMC) covering Washington DC and the entire Florida market. Teri also spent four years as regional manager of the South Atlantic Division of GES, managing the account management team that produced tradeshows in Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida. Teri held the position of vice president of park and event sales at Universal Orlando Resort, where she led the sales and operations team that serviced the meetings industry with after-hours events in all of Universal’s theme park and nighttime entertainment complex. Earlier in her career, she spent 10 years in the destination management business in account management, sales, and product development capacities for nationwide destination management companies. Teri has a BSBA in Hospitality Management from the University of Central Florida.

Marla Everett, CMM, CMP, CITP

Director, Consulting Solutions

Marla Everett joined the organization in 2019 as a veteran meetings and incentives professional and took on the role of Director, Consulting Solutions for ETM North America, in December 2020. Her experience spans multiple meeting and event service types including high-end fully customized memorable experiences to well-developed strategic meetings management programs producing excellent ROI for her clients. She applies design thinking to explore clients’ goals and design the best possible solution for their meeting and event needs.

Marla holds a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation from Meeting Professionals International, a Certificate in Meetings Management (CMM) from Events Industry Council, and both the Certified Incentive Specialist (CIS) and Certified Incentive Travel Professional (CITP) certifications from SITE Global. She has been a part of the SITE Chicago Board of Directors in the roles of Director, Young Leaders and Director, Finance and contributed to the chapter’s success in earning recognition as Chapter of the Year and Excellence in developing Young Leader programming. Marla is currently part of the SITE Global Education Committee and also involved with the Global Action Volunteer Team (GAVT) of her local Girl Scout Council.

As part of ETM North America’s Consulting Solutions, Marla’s team is responsible for strategic meetings management, account management, and data management. The team is consistently pursuing innovation in order to raise the bar and enhance service offerings for our clients.

Kim Fehlhaber

Director, ETM Group Air

Kim Fehlhaber is the Director of Group Air for ETM North America. She began her career with the company in July 2000 as a group air advisor. Kim’s travel industry experience includes leisure, corporate, loyalty, groups, and account management.

Kim and her team are dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and partnering with customers to meet and exceed attendee expectations. Through process efficiencies, technology, and automation, Kim continually strives to enhance the experience of working with the group air team while staying on top of the ever-changing industry trends.

In addition to customer engagement, Kim’s focus is coaching her team members for individual growth and supporting them to excel in their current roles and achieve their career goals.

Maryellen Blette

Director, Business Development

Maryellen Blette is the Director of Business Development. As a 30 + year industry veteran, Maryellen has spent her entire career advising, planning, executing, and managing global meetings and events. She was a principal in the groundbreaking event technology firm nTAG, created the product line Meetings@Rosenbluth for the world’s third-largest travel management firm, designed one of the world’s first meeting registration sites, and acted as a pioneer in the strategic meeting management community.  Maryellen has also served as a consultant to Fortune 100s, offering her knowledge and expertise to meeting management and event technology organizations alike. She was a founding educational advisor to the “I Love New York” Tourism Council and served as liaison to the board representing the meetings and events planning community.

She is a notable expert in the meetings and event technology arena and has been quoted in such publications as Business Travel News, Successful Meetings, Meetings Today, and The Wall Street Journal. Maryellen was also named one of Successful Meetings’ Industry Mavens.

Brian Duffy

Director, Business Development

Brian Duffy is a business development executive with a 15-year track record of success in the meeting, event, and incentive industry. Brian has developed a true passion for the meetings and events business ever since he joined BI Worldwide in 2006. He has since worked for event production agency One Smooth Stone in Chicago and the travel management company Cadence in LaJolla.

Brian enjoys the challenge of finding the right client at just the right time, typically when the client is feeling a sense of urgency and really needs a true partner to join forces with. He also enjoys the strategic conversations that happen with clients about improving the performance of their various audiences and how to get people more engaged. He then works with his creative internal colleagues to help design and deliver the right program to address the client’s business issues. Brian enjoys the collaborative process with his colleagues with the hopes of designing programs that will inspire and motivate attendees.

Brian grew up along the Jersey Shore on Long Beach Island and now lives in Highlands Ranch, CO with his wife Tara, their two kids, Anna and Luke, and their dog Roxy.

Jamie Pherous

Executive Director, Managing Director

Director since May 2008

Jamie Pherous founded Corporate Travel Management Limited (CTM) in Brisbane in 1994. He has built the Group from its headquarters in Brisbane to become one of the world’s largest travel management companies.

Prior to establishing CTM, Jamie Pherous was employed by Arthur Andersen, now Ernst & Young, as a qualified Chartered Accountant, specialising in business services and financial consulting, notably in Australia, Papua New Guinea and the United Arab Emirates.

 

Laura Ruffles

Executive Director, Global COO

Director since December 2015

Laura Ruffles is CTM’s Global Chief Operating Officer and, in late 2015, was appointed an Executive Director in recognition of her leadership contribution. She has significant local, regional and global industry experience and, in a career of more than 20 years, has led teams across sales, account management, operations and technology. Laura Ruffles is responsible for all aspects of CTM’s business performance. She joined CTM in 2010 and has been a key contributor to its successful growth. She is also a Director of the Australian Federation of Travel Agents.

Cale Bennett

Global Chief Financial Officer

Cale Bennett joined CTM in August 2019, before becoming Global CFO in March 2021. Prior to joining CTM, Cale held senior finance roles in ASX-listed entities in the banking, entertainment, and transportation industries. Cale’s corporate background includes five years spent as Group Treasurer of an ASX-100 company, driving a commercial approach that resulted in significant financial outcomes. A strong interest in technology has also led Cale to both co-found and advise start-ups in the fintech industry.

Cale holds a Bachelor of International Finance, Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment, and Master of Business Administration qualification. Cale is a Fellow of CPA Australia.

Anne Tucker

Global Chief Legal Officer & Company Secretary

Anne Tucker joined CTM in September 2019 as Global Chief Legal Officer & Company Secretary. Anne is an experienced corporate lawyer and company secretary with extensive experience in corporate governance, regulatory engagement and merger and acquisition activity.

Anne has most recently been a consultant providing legal and related advisory services to clients in the gambling and entertainment sector. Anne has also held various legal and compliance roles over a 12 year period with Tatts Group Limited, including the position of General Counsel & Company Secretary, and prior to this worked as a lawyer in both private practice and government roles.

Anne holds both Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws (Hons) qualifications, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance. Anne is a member of the Governance Institute of Australia.

Andrea Joseph

Chief People Works Officer

Andrea is an experienced professional with a proven track record in developing successful solutions and delivering outcomes across all aspects of Human Resources.
A highly skilled leader and project manager, Andrea designed and delivered a Leadership Cultural Change initiative at Suncorp before joining CTM in 2012 to lead CTM’s people functions. As Chief People Works Officer, Andrea is responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining talent who deliver great customer service, and valuable innovative solutions for our clients. Andrea’s role also ensures global accountability in delivering CTM’s shared vision of on-demand flexible learning and high performance coaching to ensure continuous personnel development; such as CTM’s High Performance (HiPo) program. In addition to a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in HR and IR, Andrea is also an Accredited Level 2 Executive Coach. Andrea is also responsible, in AU/NZ, for HR, ICT, Health and Safety, and Facilities.

Paul Healy

Global Head of Information Systems and Security

Paul Healy joined CTM in 2008, firstly as the ANZ IT Manager, later moving to lead Group IT operations, before taking on a Global management role in May 2016. Over this period he has been responsible for ensuring CTM’s global computing, communications and security infrastructure has maintained pace with the company’s rapid growth. Paul is also responsible for coordinating CTM’s global cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, privacy and compliance programs, as well as managing CTM’s Business Intelligence and analytics platforms.
Paul is a highly experienced IT professional with over 15 years of IT management experience across various industries. He has led teams across various IT disciplines including infrastructure management, software development, ERP and support services.
Paul holds a Masters’ degree in Information Technology majoring in Enterprise Systems from QUT, and is certified in both Project Management and Business Analysis. He is an Associate Member of the Australian Computing Society.

Scott Ward

Global Head of Partnerships

Scott joined CTM’s Queensland office as the Head of Client Management in 2011 and quickly established himself as someone dedicated to delivering results that were both positive and provided a real impact.
This saw him join the General Manager Succession Plan after his first year with the business and move in to the GM role for Victoria in mid-2013.
In 2017 Scott moved into the role of Global Head of Partnerships. With a focus on technology-based innovation, this position is responsible for aligning efficiencies and optimising partnerships across CTM’s global business.
Before joining CTM, Scott held various roles in the travel industry including the Australian National Sales Manager for one of the largest travel technology companies globally. He has brought this technical knowledge of best-in-market processes to enhance the alignment of solutions offered to CTM’s clients.
With over 15 years’ worth of experience in the travel industry, Scott has an excellent overall understanding of the intricacies of travel and travel management and the most effective ways of applying these to achieve optimal outcomes.

Annabel Ausmus

Global Chief Marketing Officer

Annabel Ausmus is an experienced marketing and communications professional with more than 15 years’ experience managing digital and traditional marketing strategy and implementation in both B2B and B2C disciplines.

Annabel brings a wealth of travel industry marketing experience to CTM, having worked across corporate, leisure (luxury to budget brands), events, wholesale and loyalty travel for privately owned, listed entities and not for profit organisations.

During her time at Corporate Travel Management, Annabel has worked across global growth strategy and entry into the ASX, including a highly successful IPO and the acquisition and rebranding of a number of international companies.

Annabel holds a BA (Hons) degree in Journalism, is a Certified Practicing Marketer (CPM), an Associate Member of the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI), and sits on the AMI Industry Advisory Group.

Michael Kubasik

Global Chief Technology Officer

Mike Kubasik was appointed to Global Chief Technology Officer following the announcement of CTM’s acquisition of Travel and Transport in late 2020.

Mike has more than 25 years of industry experience and 20 years of executive technology leadership. Having joined Travel and Transport in 1993, Mike has held critical positions with increasing strategic leadership responsibilities, eventually being named Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer and Director of Travel and Transport in 2012. His collaborative leadership style, extensive industry insight, customer-centricity and commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation enables CTM to maintain its reputation as a global leader in travel technology solutions.

Mike holds a number of travel and technology advisory board positions, helping drive solutions, advancements and technology strategies for the industry. Additionally, Mike works with many technology start-ups, and is involved in a number of philanthropic and charity causes in his personal time.

Tracey Edwards

Event Travel Management - Global Strategic Lead and GM AU/NZ

Tracey has been with ETM since its inception in early 2011 and brings more than 30 years’ experience in the travel and event industry managing operations around the world, including three years living, establishing and growing an event business in China.
Over the past 8 years the ETM team, under Tracey’s leadership, has evolved from a localised specialist Sydney office to a global offering with more than 100 staff across the world, providing a range of expert event, meeting and group travel services. Tracey ensures the team are delivering event solutions that meet our clients’ diverse needs and are at the forefront of technological efficiency. These achievements have been recognised by the industry, including winning the AFTA award for ‘Best Business Events Travel Agency’ multiple times.

Ewen Crouch AM

Chairman

Independent Non-Executive Director

Director since March 2019

Ewen Crouch was a Partner at Allens from 1988 – 2013. He served as a member of the firm’s board for 11 years, including four years as Chairman of Partners.  His other roles at Allens included Co-Head Mergers & Acquisitions and Equity Capital Markets from 2004 – 2010, Executive Partner – Asian Offices from 1999 – 2004 and Deputy Managing Partner from 1993 – 1996. He was a director of Mission Australia from 1995, including as Chairman from 2009, until retiring in November 2016.

Mr Crouch is a non-executive director of BlueScope Steel Limited (since March 2013).  He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of its Law Committee and a director of Jawun. He served as a member of the Takeovers Panel from 2010-2015, as a member of the Commonwealth Remuneration Tribunal from 2015 – 2019, as a director of Sydney Symphony Orchestra from 2009 – 2020 and as a non-executive director of Westpac Banking Corporation from 2013 to 2019.

Ewen Crouch was appointed as Chairman on 25 March 2019.

 

 

Sophie Mitchell

Independent Non-Executive Director

Director since September 2019

Sophie Mitchell has over 30 years of corporate advisory, capital markets and equity research experience. She retired from Morgans in June 2019 after over a decade as an Executive Director in Morgans Corporate and, prior to this, she was Morgans Head of Research.

Sophie now concentrates on her Board roles and is a Non-Executive Director of ASX-listed Flagship Investments Limited and Chairman of Apollo Tourism & Leisure Limited. She is also a Non-Executive Director of Morgans Holdings (Australia) Limited and the Morgans Foundation Limited, a Board member for the Australia Council for the Arts and Chairman of Australian Super’s Queensland Advisory Council.

She was a Non-Executive Director of Silver Chef Limited (September 2011 – December 2019) and a member of the Australian Government Takeovers Panel between 2009 and 2018.

 

Jon Brett

Independent Non-Executive Director

Director since January 2020

Jon Brett  was formerly an executive director of Investec Wentworth Private Equity Limited, and an executive of Investec Bank (Australia) Limited. He was also the CEO of Techway Limited which pioneered internet banking in Australia.  Jon brings extensive strategic, board and management experience to CTM, particularly in the areas of finance and corporate advisory.

Jon is  currently Executive Chairman of Stridecorp Equity Partners, an AFSL licensed fund manager specialising in private equity, and a non-executive director of Mobilicom Limited. His former directorships include Godfreys Group Limited, The Pas Group Limited and the chairman of Indoor Skydive Australia Group Limited.  Jon was also one of the first non-executive directors at Vocus Group, where he served for over a decade.
